Pink Bud
White with pale pink buds.
Plant Description
A delicate combination of white with pink accents. The buds are a soft rose color, as are the floret tubes on the opened white flowers. The florets are distinct on the panicles, as opposed to being massed together and overlapping, as in some larger flowering cultivars. It is both vigorous and floriferous, and only rarely gets mildew. ‘Pink Bud’ is my ‘home name’ for this phlox, brought to me sans label, by a fellow phlox fancier. Compared to the similarly tinted ‘Monica Lynden-Bell’ and ‘Mother of Pearl’, the face of the pip is all white, yet you see more of the pink tubes – it is also much taller.
This phlox description is here for reference only, and the plant is not currently available for mail-order shipping. However it may be available potted-up for on-site sales at the nursery, or with advance notice.
