Salmon Beauty
Rose-pink to salmon, with a fat white eye.
Plant Description
With very large florets of soft rosy- salmon pink, with a large white eye, this is one of the most admired of phlox at the nursery. The flower heads or ‘trusses’ are flattish and broad, at 7″ wide, and the upper stems and bud bracts are dark with pigment. Our first plant came unidentified from an old garden nearby, some 20 years ago, and over the years since then I have come to believe that it must be old ‘Salmon Beauty’, dating from the years before 1945. (‘Salmon Beauty’ is a synonym for the identical ‘Eva Foerster’)
This phlox description is here for reference only, and the plant is not currently available for mail-order shipping. However it may be available potted-up for on-site sales at the nursery, or with advance notice.
