Glamour Girl
Phlox ‘Glamour Girl’ is a healthy grower with elegant form, in warm coral pink.
Plant Description
Phlox ‘Glamour Girl’ is a newish phlox with an attractive and elegant form, and blossoms of warm coral-pink. The panicles taper up with slight attenuation, and the foliage has shown itself to stay healthy through the summer. Mildew resistance has proven to be excellent. (Hyb. by Hurd, well done).
It is not easy to say precisely why this cultivar stands out for overall excellence. It is a combination of the comportment, the warmth of color, the long bloom time, and the darkish (and healthy) foliage. Somehow, I can spot it from a long distance, it being so subtly distinct from other paniculata cultivars. ‘Glamour Girl’ has earned a spot in my Top 20 Phlox. It’s a bit shorter than the old-fashioned cultivars, so I recommend it for the middle, or front, border.
This phlox description is here for reference only, and the plant is not currently available for mail-order shipping. However it may be available potted-up for on-site sales at the nursery, or with advance notice.
