Caroline Van Den Berg
Lavender, heirloom cultivar.
Plant Description
Featured in a 1945 Wayside Gardens catalog, with the color described as “true lavender blue”. Truly it is lavender and, unusually, has no magenta tones. It has much larger pips than the other lavender-slate colored cultivar “Cool of the Evening”. It has grown very well for us in half-shade.
This phlox description is here for reference only, and the plant is not currently available for mail-order shipping. However it may be available potted-up for on-site sales at the nursery, or with advance notice.
